Graduate Admissions

The International University in Geneva welcomes applications from graduate candidates who wish to continue their studies directly following the completion of their undergraduate degree, or following a period of acquired work experience.

There is no minimum work experience requirement for the Post Graduate Program but all applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university. Applicants are selected based on previous academic excellence, intellectual ability, capacity for academic achievement, international outlook and interpersonal qualifications that suggest strong leadership potential.

Admission requirements

Students applying to the IUG graduate program must submit the following:

  • A completed application form
  • Official Transcripts of all undergraduate programs attended certified in English
  • A certified copy of an undergraduate degree (in English)
  • A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.7
  • A minimum score of 80 (Internet based test) or 213 (computer based test) on the TOEFL  test or another equivalent English proficiency test. To submit the TOEFL test score to the International University in Geneva (IUG), please enter IUG's institutional code number (0130) when you take the test.
  • A Curriculum Vitae / Resume stating any relevant professional work experience
  • A letter of reference, preferably from an employer
  • Two passport size photos
  • A non-refundable application fee of Swiss Francs CHF150.- or Euros € 100.- or USD 140.-


The following additional requirements apply to MBA program candidates:

  • A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
  • A GMAT test score (The University's GMAT code number is 0130)
  • At least 2 years of work experience is recommended
